New Branding & Logo

Well, I have been spending WEEKS trying to figure out a brand and a logo for myself. And after a very long brainstorm I came up with what I have now. I wanted to incorporate something from all different aspects of my life. So I will walk you through my long drawn out brainstorming process <3

When I think about photography, and while shooting i think "real life". So from there I knew I wanted something that expresses life and its unchangeable reality. Everything happens for a reason, and I am a firm believer in that.

From there, I starting thinking about when life was the most simple for me. A time in life where I had no worries and went with the "flow"..........my childhood. Then I though of it!...... "Let Life Flow"

For those of you that don't know, I was born in Long Beach, Ca. The beach was a huge part my my "life", and also held so much "life" of its own. Living 5 minutes from one of the most desirable beaches in Southern California definitely had a huge impact on my life.

So then, I started brainstorming about some of my favorite things to do as a child on the beach, i though about when I would walk up and down the beach with my mom and look for seashells. One particular time came to mind......when I found my very first starfish! I was so excited i think i talked about it for a whole year. lol!!

And, that's where the Starfish came from.... :)

So here it is....the new logo!!!

And I figure I might as well share a picture from our beach trip with my new watermark......

You are my Friends.........

A client/friend an I were emailing back and forth yesterday and I thought I would share a little insight on how I like to treat clients and potential clients.

I like to be personable, in the sense that I will never make you feel as though you are *just* a subject I'm shooting. I like to be *friend*ly and make you feel like we've known each other forever. The way I look at it, having a friend capture special moments is much more comfortable then if a perfect stranger was taking your picture. I have noticed that with children, its much easier to make them feel that your friends. ( I LOVE all my little BFF's ;] ).

Sometimes I find myself just yapping away during sessions! I love hearing about how you'r new baby is progressing, how you met each other, what you'r hobbies are. It helps with inspiration, and give me some insight as to the type of photos that will fit your specific style/family. Although I feel I have a certain "look" to my photos, being a photographer, I can see differences in every session I have ever shot.

With that being said, lets be friends!!! ;] I can't wait to get to know you and capture your special moments!

Here is silly me!!

New Adventures

The WHOLE time I was on maternity leave, I was thinking of ways to evolve. Both as a photographer and a business owner. I decided to make MANY changes to it all.

How are you supposed to evolve if you don't push your self to do what, deep down, scares the bageezies out of you? SO I've decided to change the type of photography I want to do, what originally brought me into the photography world as a teen. LIFE. That's the easiest way to put it. I am tired of studio photography, and want to get into the roots of portrait photography. Emotion. I want to show love in my photos. REAL....TRUE...LOVE.
